Cole Porter After Dark

Although I've performed this piece all over the world, including at the ceremony when Cole Porter received his star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2008, I've never done it in New York. Join me as I explore Cole Porter's wit, wisdom, romance and unbridled passion.

EASY TO LOVE: THE WORDS & MUSIC OF COLE PORTER

Jeff performed at the Cole Porter and Noel Coward Centennial Calas at Carnegie Hall. He is the winner of The Noel Coward Foundation Cabaret Award, as well as the Broadway World Cabaret Award "Best Halle Vocalist" in both 2015 and 2016.

As Stephen Holden of The New York Times put it, "Harnar and Porter are a perfect fit." I couldn't agree more!

BOBBY AND COLE... THE SINGER AND THE SONGS

Fresh off the Broadway run of "Sunset Boulevard," T. Oliver is bringing his gorgeous and glowing Bobby Short/ Cole Porter tribute to The Beach.

As Stephan Holden in The New York Times wrote, "If there is no 'new Bobby Short,' the torch is carried eloquently by Mr. Reid... Applying his rangy voice and expressive acumen to Porter's 'Night and Day,' he sent chills down my spine."

AKERS SINGS PORTER: ANYTHING GOES

When Karen did this exquisite evening of Cole Porter at the Algonquin in 2009, Stephan Holden of The New York Times wrote:

"Every syllable of every word from her lips os eloquently turned... the music buried in his words becomes almost as pronounced as the actual melodies."

We're so proud that this cabaret superstar is reprising her evening of Cole Porter at The Beach!

REX REED HOLDS COURT

No one, and I mean NO ONE tells a better story than Rex Reed!

He's known EVERYBODY in show business from Bette Davis to Tennessee Williams to Mae West to Marlene Dietrich and he loves to talk about them!

He also has a smooth, rich singing voice and interprets a lyric with depth and musicality.

THE SULTRY SIDE OF COLE

Who better to explore the sophisticated sexiness of Porter than the great and gorgeous Stacy Sullivan?

Stacy is the winner of multiple awards and has been heralded in The London Times by Clive Davis as "A commanding, willowy presence with an understated eroticism, she captures that rare combination of vulnerability and worldliness."

TIME FLIES

How lucky are we at The Beach Cafe? We get to enjoy two different Karen Akers shows!

This one is an eclectic collection of songs that defy category, but have stood the test of time in that they remain among Karen's favorites from her exceptional career.
